sew "wrapped" with my skirt

today is a saturday
on saturdays i generally like to get all those boring chores out of the way
in preparation of spending my sunday in complete relaxation

once my chores are done
i'll usually get ready to go out
pick an outfit
fake tan
buy my pre drinking alcoholic drink of choice
dance around singing aloud to 'shake it off' by taylor swift
- and all that jazz -

but this saturday i didn't go out
and i didn't need to pick an outfit
or lather myself in France's finest; 'le tan' in a can

boring, right?

but i did do something semi productive
i dusted off my trusty ol' toyota
lol and no, i am not talking about a car
i'm talking about my dodgy little sewing machine
(yes, it is actually a toyota, whom are a very reliable car manufacturer, might i add
that i purchased at the ripe old age of 19
it was the cheapest sewing machine from Lincraft
the only one that my 19 year old wage could afford
 and my golly it has served me well, and apparently still is;;

here are some piccies of a little wrap skirt i whipped up
it took about an hour and a half, total
i used an old high waist skirt block pattern i created at tafe
made a few minor adjustments
had some cotton fabric handy
(purchased cheap cheap from DK fabrics on Port Road)
and bobs your uncle
i can actually wear it with the confidence that it won't fall apart
which is a true achievement for me
you could say, i'm pretty "wrapped" about it

thank you for reading my dribble.

x
